my teacher, coach payne gave us an assignment about three weeks ago. he told us to, "write an urbal legend. an urban legend is nothing more than a story that can not be proven true or false, that is spread through word of mouth, letters, or even email."


so i started writing mine on monday. it was a gruesome tale about one of my friends. the first half is true but the rest is just the rantings of my mind...


i let mabey 6 people up at the school read it, the first and second revisions and extensions, and it has already been spread around the entire school. not coppies, but by word of mouth. just what payne told me to do.



i walk into class today feeling accomplish at the fact that my story is the talk of the school rather than the latest shitty tabloid artice, when payne pulls me back out into the hall. "you have to stop writing your story." im thinking he wants to congradulate me for creating such a succesful urban legend but noooooo... the fucker wants me to pull the entire story and start over.



apparently mr. craighead and the other principals were recieving complaints about students fearing for their lives. not from my friend which the story depicts, but but from me. craighead said that the school would have to press charges if i turned it in.



so you knwo what im gonna do? im gonna keep writing. it follows all of the guidelines of the assignment. there was no specific statement that i had to keep things pg. fuck that. this thing is going in. and theres nothing the school or payne or craighead or the police can do about it. i am following the rules.



when it is finished, it will be posted here as a finished work. and my legend will live on in whoever will spend the time to read it.
